‘On March 3, 1969 the United States Navy established an elite school for the top one percent of its pilots. 

Its purpose was to teach the lost art or aerial combat and to insure that the handful of men who graduated were the best fighter pilots in the world. 

They succeeded. 

Today, the Navy calls it Fighter Weapons School.

On the release of the highly anticipated and acclaimed sequel, THCC goes back to sunny Miramar, California to review one of the most classic action films of the time, Top Gun (1986). One of the biggest hits of 1986, it launched the career of Tom Cruise, certified Tony Scott as a director of action and helped reform the image of the US Military following the Vietnam War. 

Top Gun follows the life of Pete "Maverick" Mitchell at the prestigious Top Gun academy where he deals with romance, rivalry, death and what it means to be a man. Grab your aviators and bomber jackets as we head into the danger zone...
