To start our October/Halloween month, we discuss one of our favourite sci-fi horror franchises, the Alien series, arguably the better ones Alien (1979), directed by Ridley Scott, and Aliens (1986), directed by James Cameron. We talk about the settings, characters, aesthetics, themes, the horrors and of course the major player: the xenomorphs. How are these creatures the most terrifying monsters in cinema history?
